This position is part of the Prepared Foods team, where the team member plays a crucial role by supporting various food preparation, service, sanitation, and stocking functions. Team Members are responsible for ensuring a positive company image by offering courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times. This role demands someone who can work collaboratively within the team, adhere to store Standard Operating Procedures, maintain health and safety regulations, and contribute actively on the store floor. Team Members engaging in this role will be trained to cut, prepare, and serve a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and pizza. They will sample products for customers, manage inventory freshness by checking product dates, stock cases and displays, and consolidate recyclables. Team Members will assist the Team Leader in organizing promotional and seasonal items and are expected to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards rigorously. This role also requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for natural foods and the Whole Foods Market mission. Thorough training in safety and health regulations, as well as product knowledge, ensures that all team members can deliver excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
