The Prepared Foods Team Member is responsible for a wide range of tasks including the preparation, cutting, and serving of various foods such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and pizzas. This role requires adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper stocking procedures to maintain excellent product quality and freshness. Members are expected to engage actively with customers, providing samples, answering questions, and promoting products in a positive manner. Additionally, the role involves assisting with inventory checks, handling recyclables, supporting merchandising efforts, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

This is an hourly retail position with a wage range of $18.00 to $25.40, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand and walk 6-8 hours per day
  • able to perform hand use motions such as grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • able to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • able to work in wet and dry conditions
  • able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders
  • no prior retail experience required

Job Duties

  • Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
  • samples products to customers
  • stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods
  • checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary
  • bails and consolidates recyclables
  • assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • assists with periodic inventory checks
  • arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
  • maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follows and complies with established procedures including health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • performs opening, mid, and closing duties
  • immediately reports safety hazards and violations
