Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing/walking 6-8 hours per 8-hour shift
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • able to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders
  • punctuality and appropriate grooming
  • must attend scheduled trainings and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • attention to detail
  • customer service skills
  • willingness to learn product knowledge
  • basic math skills
  • previous experience in food service or retail is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Cut, prepare, and serve a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
  • sample products to customers
  • stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators
  • check in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary
  • bail and consolidate recyclables
  • assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • assist with periodic inventory checks
  • arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers timely and effectively, and model suggestive selling techniques
  • maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follow and ensure compliance with procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • maintain clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
