Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling hand use
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to temperatures including freezing, refrigeration, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders
- No prior retail experience required

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensure product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
- Help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
- Ensure that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly and effectively
- Model suggestive selling techniques
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Maximize sales potential through effective preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of product
- Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Maintain equipment according to Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
