Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Standing/walking for 6-8 hours per 8-hour shift
- Hand use requiring single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach frequently
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to various temperatures including freezing and high heat
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
- May require use of ladders

- No prior retail experience required
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully

Job Duties
- Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and recipes
- Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods products and conventional store products
- Ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
- Arrives to work on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly
- Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, and merchandising
- Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- Reports safety hazards immediately
