This career opportunity is for an entry-level role within Whole Foods Market’s Prepared Foods department. The position entails performing duties related to the preparation, service, sanitation, and stocking of products, all while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. Team Members are expected to contribute to a positive company image by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and fellow Team Members. The role requires adherence to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures, and flexibility to assist in different job functions when necessary. Key responsibilities include assisting with the production of prepared foods across various venues, ensuring products are properly labeled, dated, covered, and rotated to maintain freshness and safety. They are responsible for documenting waste and spoilage and maintaining clean, organized workspaces including walk-ins and freezers. Job Requirements
- no prior retail experience required
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures

Job Duties
- assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated
- ensure product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation
- document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- ensure product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
- help customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores
- ensure that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
