Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in temperatures ranging below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- strong communication skills

- basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all prepared foods venues
- ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- ensure production is performed using correct measuring devices and recipes
- help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- keep walk-in refrigerators and freezers clean and well-organized
- arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
- maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- follow health and sanitation established procedures
- maintain clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately report safety hazards and violations
