Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- Proficient with hand use involving grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Capable of performing bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- Exposure to and safe handling of FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in cold (below 32 degrees Fahrenheit), refrigerated (32-40 degrees Fahrenheit), and hot (above 90 degrees Fahrenheit) conditions
- Able to work in both wet and dry environments
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery
- May require ladder use
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service

Job Duties
- Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and recipes
- Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- Ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and organized
- Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready
- Works all scheduled shifts and attends trainings and meetings
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs timely and effectively
- Models suggestive selling techniques
- Answers phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- Follows and ensures compliance with Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Maintains equipment meeting cleanliness and safety standards
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- Ensures accuracy of signs and pricing
- Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
