Job Requirements
- 12+ months retail experience
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- may require ladder use

- Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent interpersonal, motivational, and team building skills
- capable of teaching others in a positive manner
- product knowledge
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
- proficiency in mathematics for financial assessment, profitability monitoring, and inventory management
- demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
Job Duties
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods team members
- works with Prepared Foods trainer to train team members and minimize turnover
- assists in training new team members using learning checklists and training materials
- keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated
- opens and closes department according to procedures
- ensures all necessary breaks are given
- communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
- sets and achieves highest standards of retail execution
- fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale
- maintains awareness of customer flow and directs team members to satisfy customers
- selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates and counsels team members
- provides performance evaluations
- communicates and models WFM vision and goals
