The role being offered involves performing all essential functions related to food preparation and maintenance for the cold case, fresh pack, salad bar, and hot bars within the store. This position requires a thorough understanding of food quality standards, presentation, sanitation, and customer engagement to ensure the highest level of satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities include preparing food according to established recipes and production guidelines, labeling, monitoring freshness, timely replenishment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies.

Team members must be punctual, appropriately groomed, and prepared to engage in all scheduled shifts and training sessions. Strong communication skills are necessary to provide courteous, efficient service to customers and fellow team members alike. The role includes tasks such as merchandising, stock rotation, safety hazard reporting, and ensuring signage accuracy. Job Requirements

  • 6-12 months retail experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • Ability to use hand motions including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in temperatures below 32 degrees, between 32-40 degrees, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • May require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets
  • Prepares food items according to recipe to ensure quality and consistency
  • Ensures that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated
  • Monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner
  • Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • Follows and complies with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and ensures maintenance of equipment
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and ensures accuracy of signs and pricing
  • Immediately reports safety hazards and violations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
