This role focuses on food preparation and maintenance across various sections including the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. The job ensures that food quality, safety, presentation, and sanitation standards are met consistently. As a team member in this role, you will be responsible for preparing food items according to detailed production sheets and recipes, ensuring freshness through proper labeling, dating, covering, monitoring, and rotation. This includes stocking and replenishing food items efficiently to meet customer demand throughout the day. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will directly interact with customers, addressing their needs in a courteous and timely manner while promoting the store’s products and suggestive selling techniques.
You will also be expected to adhere strictly to established procedures related to health, safety, sanitation, and food handling, including compliance with Weights and Measures regulations. Maintaining cleanliness in workstations, equipment, walk-ins, freezers, and ensuring all signage and pricing are accurate are part of your daily responsibilities. As the role requires flexibility, you must be prepared to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Requirements
- 6-12 months retail experience
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Prepares food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets
- prepares food items according to recipe to ensure quality and consistency
- ensures that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated
- monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner
- arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
