Job Description
Northgate Resorts owns and manages one of the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolios in the United States, recognized for its dedication to providing unforgettable family camping experiences. With a focus on creating cherished memories for guests, Northgate Resorts operates numerous resort locations designed to immerse families in nature while delivering high-quality amenities and services. The company prides itself on fostering a passionate team environment where each member is motivated to contribute to the overall guest experience, ensuring that visitors leave with lasting impressions and positive stories to share. Northgate Resorts is committed to being a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization that values teamwork, innovation, and outstanding customer service.
The Prep and Line Cook position at Northgate Resorts offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Food and Beverage team serving seasonal guests. This role can be full-time or part-time and is seasonal in nature, making it ideal for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements in a vibrant hospitality setting. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, these cooks play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and presentation of food offerings at the resort. Responsibilities include preparing food according to menu specifications using a variety of cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, baking, roasting, and frying. Attention to detail is paramount in ensuring meals meet the resort's high standards and guests’ expectations.
Candidates in this position will prepare ingredients, set up workstations, manage inventory and ordering, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen. The role demands the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Working nights, weekends, and holidays is required as part of the seasonal schedule. Northgate Resorts values employees who demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to work with minimal supervision while contributing to a respectful and collaborative work environment.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks that require standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, and crawling, along with constant exposure to hot equipment and environments throughout the day. While state-required food safety certification is preferred, it is not mandatory, allowing entry for candidates eager to develop their culinary skills within a supportive setting. This role is pivotal to ensuring that guests receive fresh, well-prepared meals in a timely manner, further enhancing the overall resort experience.
Northgate Resorts is proud to offer equal employment opportunities to all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by law. The company participates in the E-Verify program and adheres to fair employment practices across all stages of recruitment and employment.
Joining Northgate Resorts as a Prep and Line Cook not only means becoming part of a trusted and award-winning hospitality leader but also an opportunity to grow professionally in the culinary arts while contributing directly to memorable guest experiences in some of the nation’s most beautiful natural settings.
