The company emphasizes quality, consistency, and innovation in its culinary offerings. As a pivotal player in the local meal prep industry, Macro Meal Prep San Diego prides itself on using fresh ingredients and expert cooking techniques to prepare meals that support balanced lifestyles. The company culture fosters teamwork, creativity, and a passion for food, making it a desirable workplace for culinary professionals who want to grow and excel in a fast-paced environment.

The role being offered is for a Prep Supervisor, a part-time position requiring a two-day weekly commitment. This role reports directly to the Head Chef and offers competitive compensation at $25.00 per hour, paid in cash. The working hours are Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Monday from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This position is ideal for someone who has relevant experience in kitchen supervision and is ready to take on responsibilities that support high-volume meal production.

The Prep Supervisor's primary responsibility is to support the Head Chef in managing weekly kitchen operations, focusing on food preparation and packaging for large-scale meal production. The position demands a keen eye for detail to ensure consistent food quality and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations. This role requires the ability to maintain a balance between creativity in meal planning and the structured efficiency necessary for a busy kitchen. The Prep Supervisor will also manage and train kitchen staff, monitor production timelines, and assist in quality control measures related to taste, presentation, and packaging. Flexibility to fill in for the Head Chef when necessary is also a critical aspect of this position.

Candidates must have experience in kitchen supervisory or management roles, particularly in high-volume kitchens such as those in meal prep or catering settings. A strong understanding of food safety standards, kitchen organization, and batch cooking techniques is essential. The role requires excellent leadership skills, time management capabilities, and the ability to multitask effectively. While a culinary degree is advantageous, equivalent hands-on experience is also valued. Holding a ServSafe Food Manager certification is preferred, underscoring the company’s commitment to maintaining health standards and food safety.

Macro Meal Prep San Diego offers several benefits to its employees, including a consistent and predictable schedule, opportunities for professional growth and leadership advancement, free meals, paid breaks, and employee meal discounts. Additionally, employees enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive team environment that promotes mutual respect and professional development. This role offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about healthy food and eager to contribute to a growing company that values innovation and quality.
