Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a prep cook or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Familiarity with Servsafe standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous experience with grill, pantry, sauté/fry stations preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows proper dress code and Servsafe/health department guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ensure line checks and temperature log structure are followed
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Follow the prep list and ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly
  • Assists in dishwashing during off-peak periods as needed
  • Opening and/or closing the kitchen properly and following the checklist for kitchen stations
  • Assists others in opening and/or closing the kitchen
  • Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walk-ins, restrooms, dish areas, and outside areas through the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty
