Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, turn, lift, talk, walk, walk on uneven ground
  • ability to carry and lift up to fifty pounds
  • capability for team lift for items over twenty-five pounds or awkward lifting
  • must adhere to all safety and sanitation standards
  • prior experience in kitchen or food service is preferred
  • must be able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
  • prepares food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
  • restocks all items as needed throughout shift
  • cleans and maintains station practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
  • properly uses and maintains all equipment in station
  • assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
  • operates commercial dish machine safely
  • manages safe use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
  • moves effortlessly between active cook lines
  • completes cleaning and organizing duties accurately and on time
  • performs additional responsibilities as requested by Chef or Kitchen Manager
