Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of dishwashing experience in a high-volume setting
  • Current Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass DMV check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general educational development (GED) certification required
  • Six months dishwashing experience in a high-volume setting
  • Knowledge of food preparation
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment and knives in a safe manner
  • Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must have a current Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients community and other staff members
  • Work collaboratively with clients other NARA staff team members and to treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times
  • Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests
  • Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks

Job Duties

  • Maintain compliance with NARA's policy and procedures as well as state county and federal guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes and kitchen area
  • Prep food that will be used in the creation of meals
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of kitchen department supplies and ordering materials as needed
  • Help serve meals to clients in cafeteria
  • Maintain effective working relationships with NARA staff
  • Attend facility and department meetings as needed
  • Attend training classes as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
