Job Requirements

  • Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching
  • Able to push, pull and lift objects from lower to higher positions or move horizontally
  • Maintain body equilibrium while walking, standing or crouching on various surfaces
  • Capable of climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps
  • Able to frequently lift loads greater than 50 pounds
  • Must communicate clearly in the primary language of the restaurant
  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent preferred
  • Six months to one year minimum experience as a prep or line cook in a full service restaurant
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques utilized in the prep/line position applying for
  • Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good judgment and decision making abilities
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision and interact with team members

Job Duties

  • Live by a servant leadership philosophy to always serve others first
  • Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, and operating standards
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and secure environment by cleaning and sanitizing work station before, during, and after shifts
  • Use and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils safely and appropriately
  • Prioritize and complete all assigned prep work, sidework, and station set up for efficiency
  • Prepare and portion all items according to company standards, recipes, and specifications
  • Adhere to ticket times and maintain product quality at all times
