The Prep Cook position at Uchi Washington D.C. is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals looking to grow within a vibrant and rapidly expanding restaurant group. The role involves preparing ingredients and assisting chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations that uphold the restaurant’s high standards. Compensation for this role ranges from $18.40 to $21 per hour, reflecting the importance of skilled and motivated team members in maintaining Uchi's reputation for quality and innovation.
As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in setting the foundation for each dish by preparing fresh ingredients according to the restaurant’s recipes and guidelines. Your contributions will directly impact the kitchen’s efficiency and the quality of the dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and collaborate closely with team members in a busy kitchen setting. Physical stamina is essential, as the role requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and other activities necessary to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workspace.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
