Job Requirements
- 3-5 years prep cook leadership experience preferred
- ServSafe certification is a plus
- must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, dining room staff and guests
- must be able to read and write to facilitate communication
- must be able to stand and move with well-paced mobility for up to eight hours
- must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- must possess finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly
- availability must include days, nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prep cook leadership experience preferred
- culinary training or relevant certifications a plus
- knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff and management
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic math and reading skills to facilitate ingredient measurement and recipe comprehension
Job Duties
- Prepare and portion ingredients in accordance with recipes and production schedules
- lead and coordinate kitchen prep activities to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas
- monitor ingredient inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- collaborate closely with culinary team members and front-of-house staff to support smooth kitchen operations
