- must be at least 18 years of age
- have at least one year’s experience cooking Mexican food
- hold a current Food Handlers card issued by the State of Texas
- knowledge of kitchen equipment handling procedures
- full knowledge of the food menu and preparation methods
- ability to understand and execute detailed instructions

- bilingual in Spanish and English
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- show up ready for work
- maintain personal appearance according to grooming standards
- follow safe and sanitary food handling procedures
- prepare, portion and package raw foods according to recipes and quality standards
- respond to line cooks’ ingredient requests during service
- communicate with kitchen team to ensure food availability
- maintain minimum inventory and prepare for next shift
- request supplies as needed
- report low product levels
- maintain cleanliness of equipment and utensils
- assist line cooks with station setup
- thaw frozen ingredients daily
- wrap, label and store products safely
- clean workstation and equipment after shifts
- maintain kitchen and storage cleanliness
- perform other assigned cleaning duties
- assist line cooks when necessary
- maintain accuracy, presentation, cleanliness and timing
- follow cooling procedures and test temperatures
- maintain sanitary work area
- maintain positive relationships with co-workers
- report issues with products or equipment
- rotate products using FIFO policy
- keep sanitizer buckets clean and changed
- attend meetings and suggest improvements
- perform other duties as assigned
