Job Description

Perseid Restaurant, located inside the renowned Hotel Saint Augustine, is a vibrant neighborhood bistro that delivers a Gulf Coast-inspired twist on the classic bistro dining experience. Serving thoughtfully crafted dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Perseid caters to both casual meals and special occasions, making it a versatile staple within the Montrose community. Under the expert leadership of chef Aaron Bludorn and Director of Operations Cherif Mbodji, and in collaboration with the Bunkhouse and Hyatt teams, Perseid seamlessly blends elevated culinary techniques with an approachable atmosphere. This dedication to quality and innovation has earned the restaurant prestigious recognitions, including being named one of Bon Appétit's 20 best new restaurants of 2025 and receiving a Michelin recommendation.

As a member of the Hospitality industry, Perseid prides itself on fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and dedication to exceptional guest experiences. Employees at Perseid become part of a passionate team focused not only on delivering exquisite food but also on creating memorable moments for every guest that walks through their doors. The restaurant’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its meticulous approach to food preparation, atmosphere, and service. This dedication extends beyond the kitchen to include comprehensive employee benefits and a supportive work environment.

The Prep Cook role at Perseid Restaurant is a pivotal position that directly contributes to the seamless operation of the kitchen and the overall dining experience. This role involves preparing ingredients and essential food components to support the line cooks during service, ensuring efficiency and consistency throughout the day. The Prep Cook works closely with the broader Food & Beverage team, embracing collaboration and teamwork to maintain the highest quality food standards.

Responsibility for daily food preparation, maintenance of prep areas, adherence to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, and teamwork are key facets of this role. The Prep Cook must be adaptable, able to meet the dynamic and fluctuating demands of the restaurant while ensuring that every dish meets Perseid’s established quality. Additional duties may arise based on operational needs, and flexibility to perform these tasks is essential. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their culinary career within a celebrated and innovative restaurant environment.

Perseid Restaurant offers competitive compensation and an outstanding benefits package that supports employee well-being, professional growth, and work-life balance. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401K plan with company match, generous paid time off, exclusive discounts on room rates for employees and their friends and family, free parking, and various retailer discounts.
