The position available is for a Prep Cook at Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles located at Palms Place in Las Vegas, NV. This is an in-person role with varied shifts including open, swing, closing, as well as mandatory weekends and holidays. The starting base salary ranges from $16 to $21 per hour, depending on experience, with expected working hours between 10 to 30 hours per week based on business needs. The Prep Cook reports to the back-of-house team lead, shift supervisor, assistant general manager, and general manager.
The Prep Cook plays a critical role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining an organized and clean workstation, and ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service. Responsibilities include washing, chopping, measuring, and portioning ingredients following recipes and prep lists accurately. This role demands high standards of food safety and sanitation, as well as close collaboration with line cooks and kitchen leadership to uphold kitchen efficiency, consistency, and quality.

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
- wash, chop, measure, and portion food items for daily service

- assist line cooks and chefs with prep lists and daily tasks
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
- support the kitchen team during busy periods as needed
- communicate inventory needs or shortages to supervisors
