Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
knowledge of food safety standards
ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
strong communication skills
physical ability to handle the demands of the job

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of food service regulations
skillfully uses hand tools or machines needed for the position
ability to work in a fast paced environment
ability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects
able to stand for extended periods of time
ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

Efficiently prepares food items as ordered
exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes
properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
stays ahead of orders by anticipating demand throughout shift
maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required by the current menu
keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized
may assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs
