Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior kitchen or cooking experience preferred
food safety certification preferred
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
physical ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy lifting
effective communication skills
ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of food service regulations
skillful use of hand tools or machines needed for the position
ability to work in a fast paced environment
ability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects
able to stand for extended periods
ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

Efficiently prepares food items as ordered
exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes
properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
stays ahead of orders by anticipating demand
maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required by the menu
keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized
may assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs
