Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen or cooking experience preferred
  • food safety certification preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy lifting

Job Duties

  • Efficiently prepares food items as ordered
  • exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
  • weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes
  • properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
  • stays ahead of orders by anticipating demand
  • maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required by the menu
  • keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized
  • may assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs
