Job Requirements
- Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills
- Able to independently lift up to 15lbs for an extended period
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Hand-eye coordination
- Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping
- Pushing and pulling
- Lifting overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is an asset
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Physical ability to meet job demands
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients and food items for service according to recipes and management instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Ensure all food is stored and handled properly to meet health and safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
- Collaborate with team members to meet service demands efficiently
- Follow company procedures for food quality and presentation
- Support kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth workflow
