Job Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
  • Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Basic English language and professional communication skills
  • Able to independently lift up to 15lbs for an extended period
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Lifting overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Physical ability to meet job demands

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and food items for service according to recipes and management instructions
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food is stored and handled properly to meet health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
  • Collaborate with team members to meet service demands efficiently
  • Follow company procedures for food quality and presentation
  • Support kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth workflow
