Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning fresh produce and other food items according to recipes and standards
- Assist with cooking tasks such as assembling dishes, following recipes, and ensuring proper food handling techniques are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including sanitizing surfaces and storing ingredients properly
- Support the culinary team with meal preparation for various service periods, including catering events if applicable
- Handle food safely by adhering to all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying supervisors of low supplies
- Follow menu planning guidelines to ensure consistency in meal presentation and portion control
