This full-time, paid position offers an hourly wage of $16.00 to $17.00, providing an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food preparation and kitchen operations. The Prep Cook will play a vital role in setting the stage for exceptional dining experiences by assisting in ingredient preparation, organizing kitchen stations, and supporting the culinary team. This role demands energy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to food safety and quality standards. In the role of Prep Cook, you will be an essential part of the kitchen’s workflow, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped, organized, and ready for use by the chefs and cooks. You will be responsible for washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning fresh produce and other food items precisely according to recipes and quality standards. Additionally, you will assist with cooking tasks by assembling dishes, following recipes carefully, and maintaining proper food handling techniques. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations will be key to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You will also support inventory management efforts by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying supervisors about supplies running low. This role offers the chance to contribute directly to meal presentation consistency and portion control while helping to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate brings experience in food preparation, is familiar with kitchen safety standards, and demonstrates proficiency with knife skills and meal preparation techniques. Previous work experience in restaurants or the food industry is highly valued, and knowledge of menu planning and catering practices is a strong plus. Job Duties
