Job Description

HomeGrown is a distinctive restaurant brand operating under the Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned business with over 50 years of industry experience. Established in 2017, HomeGrown has quickly become one of the most popular daytime eateries, with multiple locations across Northwest Arkansas. The restaurant specializes in breakfast and brunch, proudly emphasizing local sourcing and scratch-made recipes. Their commitment to quality, freshness, and community spirit sets them apart within the competitive restaurant sector. HomeGrown is dedicated to cultivating a work environment centered around kindness, teamwork, and personal development. This friendly and family-oriented culture is reflected in every aspect of the workplace, from day-to-day operations to employee development programs.

The Prep Cook, or Kitchen Team Member, plays a vital role at HomeGrown and is considered the heart and soul of the kitchen operation. The role is unique in that it touches every dish that goes out to the customer, as HomeGrown operates a scratch kitchen that prioritizes fresh and high-quality food preparation. Prep Cooks are responsible for completing assigned prep tasks, maintaining high standards for food presentation and quality, and adhering strictly to recipes and cooking specifications. Their careful work ensures guests enjoy a consistent and exceptional breakfast and brunch experience. This position offers a daytime schedule with shifts ending by 3:30 pm, which is a significant benefit over traditional restaurant roles that often require late or overnight shifts. Additionally, the compensation is competitive with other restaurant jobs but comes with the added perks of paid time off and comprehensive benefits including vision, dental, and medical coverage for full-time team members.

Working at HomeGrown means joining a team that values kindness as much as quality food. Their philosophy, "Local when it's better," encourages partnerships with local food producers such as dairy farmers and bee hivers to bring the freshest ingredients possible to their guests. For those looking to develop a career in hospitality, leadership, or business within a supportive and fun setting, HomeGrown presents a unique opportunity. This role is especially suitable for individuals who want to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction, with a conducive work-life balance attributable to their early finish times and family-friendly atmosphere.
