Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- prior work experience in kitchen or food preparation preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stoop and lift up to 45 pounds
- capability to stand and walk for long periods
- manual dexterity for chopping and prepping food
- ability to enter walk-in refrigerators and freezers
- positive attitude and neat appearance
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- regular attendance
- follow rules and regulations of Food and Beverage department
Job Qualifications
- Prior catering or kitchen work in food service
- basic math skills
- ability to follow directions and perform work effectively
- positive attitude and neat appearance
- proficiency in English
- completion of Food and Beverage and venue training
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- strong knowledge of sanitary practices
- knowledge of food storage and temperature control
- ability to read and follow recipes
- maintaining grooming and dress code standards
- strong work ethic encouraging urgency and quality
- ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
Job Duties
- Prepare recipes as directed
- measure ingredients and prepare them in accordance with chef's specifications
- wash and peel ingredients for use in different meals
- cut and portion different types of meat according to specifications
- prepare different types of food carefully following the recipes
- accept or reject ingredients from food suppliers based on appearance and quality
- keep track of ingredient quantities and ensure sufficient supply
- store ingredients in dedicated containers to preserve quality
- clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils, and working areas
- manage food and cooling room temperatures appropriately
- maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area
- follow Food and Beverage department rules and regulations
- report to Executive Chef in proper uniform
- maintain regular attendance
- work across all Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover
- perform other duties as assigned
