Currently seeking a Hot Kitchen Prep Cook for the Portland, OR location, this full-time day shift position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen team by preparing various components such as sauces, dressings, cooked grains, vegetables, pasta, and salsas according to company standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work safely, quickly and efficiently with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment between 34 - 38 degrees
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly and up to 40 lbs occasionally
  • Full weekend and holiday availability
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Successful completion of a drug screen including THC

Job Qualifications

  • One year of high volume kitchen experience preferred with a strong emphasis on traditional culinary fundamentals
  • General knowledge of basic kitchen ingredients, equipment and tools
  • Good verbal, written and literary skills
  • Positive can-do attitude, team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Gathering ingredients for cooking and assembling a variety of ready-to-eat foods and salads
  • Evaluating finished products for appearance, taste, smell, and texture according to internal specifications
  • Maintaining a clean work area, equipment and utensils
  • Follow safety guidelines and use caution in proper lifting techniques, handling of knives, kitchen utensils, ovens, skillets, and kettles
  • Other duties as assigned
