Job Requirements
- Previous deli prep or sandwich making experience preferred
- Willingness to train and learn job duties
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with food preparation
- Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Ability to follow federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to complete required documentation and reports
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in deli prep or sandwich making preferred but not required
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and food preparation instructions
- Strong attention to quality and food safety
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work early morning hours consistently
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and sanitation
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude towards work
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and maintain daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment according to department procedures
- Store, label, and date all food items following company policies
- Follow HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety and quality
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at multiple stations
- Resolve customer concerns promptly
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
