As part of the Compass Group, one of the world’s largest foodservice companies, Eurest harnesses global resources while maintaining a strong local presence to enhance the communities it serves. The company embodies its core values through the Eurest Promise: to connect with people, inspire through food, create innovative solutions, and live these values every day. From serving Fortune 500 companies to local establishments, Eurest consistently delivers quality dining experiences tailored to the unique needs of its clients and customers.
The role we are hiring for is a full-time Prep Cook position located at Netscout in Allen, TX. This position is critical in supporting kitchen operations by preparing food items in compliance with established recipes and production schedules. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 2:20 pm, offering a great work-life balance with no weekends and most major holidays off, ideal for those seeking stability and consistency. The pay rate ranges between $16.00 and $17.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitively compensating skilled workers.
As a Prep Cook at Eurest, you will be responsible for ensuring that food preparation meets federal, state, and local food safety standards. You will work closely with the Chef to obtain daily production schedules and prepare menu items accordingly, following precise recipes and quantities to maintain consistency and quality. Your duties include completing production worksheets, logging waste, and ensuring all food items are properly stored, labeled, and dated per HACCP guidelines. This role also involves operating and cleaning kitchen equipment according to department procedures, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, and serving customers promptly and warmly.
Candidates with prior kitchen experience are preferred, but the company provides training for those willing to learn and grow. Customer service is a key aspect of the role, as Prep Cooks may take orders and serve food at multiple stations. Eurest values employees who demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and a customer-first attitude. The position also features an Internal Employee Referral Bonus program, enhancing team engagement and rewarding staff for contributing to hiring efforts.
Beyond the immediate job role, Eurest offers a comprehensive benefits package to ensure the well-being and security of its employees. Full-time associates benefit from medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options. Additional benefits include retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, identity theft protection, and access to voluntary benefits such as critical illness and accident insurance. Associates also enjoy perks like discount shopping programs, wellness initiatives, and pet insurance. Paid and unpaid time off is available in compliance with applicable laws, further enhancing work-life balance.
The application process is ongoing, emphasizing Eurest's commitment to attracting qualified candidates who share their passion for foodservice excellence. Eurest maintains a drug-free workplace and is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion. The company encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply and can accommodate those needing reasonable accommodations to perform essential job functions.
Joining Eurest as a Prep Cook means becoming part of a dynamic team committed to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This role offers the chance to develop culinary skills within a supportive environment, contribute to high-quality food service, and enjoy a stable schedule with competitive pay and rich benefits. If you value teamwork, quality food preparation, and a positive workplace culture, this opportunity at Eurest is an excellent fit for your career goals.
