Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in health and sanitation as required by Arlington County Health Department
  • Serve Safe certification preferred
  • Two years experience in food service including institutional food production
  • Experience working in residential community settings
  • Ability to comply with state and federal confidentiality regulations
  • General computer knowledge including email and electronic timekeeping
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, recipes, and labels
  • Physical ability to sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move up to 10 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks daily for approximately 60 patients
  • Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen facilities
  • Ensure kitchen meets health and safety standards
  • Follow recipes and food preparation guidelines accurately
  • Set boundaries while interacting with patients, maintaining professionalism
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
  • Safeguard confidentiality and comply with applicable regulations
