Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for nine hours
  • must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
  • ability to perform all job functions while wearing specified uniform including proper footwear
  • high school diploma or equivalent helpful but not required
  • minimum two years experience in similar capacity

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years culinary experience
  • experience in high-volume kitchen environments
  • proven professionalism and accountability
  • strong team commitment
  • ability to follow recipes and systems accurately
  • culinary schooling preferred
  • professional and accurate communication skills

Job Duties

  • Check with supervisor on duty for shift prep schedule
  • always use recipe book for batch, process, and portion prep
  • read recipe before starting
  • weigh and measure all ingredients
  • ice bath hot recipes before storing and store with lid cracked in walk-in
  • immediately refrigerate all items prepared
  • clean as you go
  • use clean food storage containers
  • date label and rotate product
  • assume responsibility for freshness and quality of items prepared
  • follow sanitation and safety procedures
  • check with Leader on Duty regarding prep condition, item storage, and prep area cleanliness
  • pass all general and departmental tests with 90% grade or greater
  • perform other related duties as assigned by Chef/Sous Chef
  • maintain clean and professional appearance
  • work with teamwork in mind
  • perform other related duties as assigned by Leadership Team
