As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food and serving customers in compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations. You will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that all menu items are prepared efficiently, following established recipes and production schedules. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or related culinary field preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to follow recipes and procedural instructions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
