Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- food handlers card
- ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per shift
- able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes weighing up to 50 lbs
- able to lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 150 lbs with assistance
- ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and lift frequently
- ability to work in a hot, damp environment
- familiarity with food safety standards
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- good communication skills

Job Duties
- Read and execute all prep recipes accurately
- prepare food according to preparation schedule and accomplish tasks in allotted time
- demonstrate adequate knife skills
- keep prep area clean and organized
- maintain recipe book cleanliness and organization
- maintain proper food storage and safety
- maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- sweep and scrub floors
- receive and store supplies
- transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- execute line sweeps and trash change as necessary
- maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
- stock food and utensils on cook line, refrigerators, and storage areas
- clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving
- follow all safety standards
- follow proper food safety and sanitation policies
- clock in and out and take breaks as required
- abide by all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- report to General Manager, Kitchen Manager, and other supervisors as directed
- perform duties with a sense of urgency and to expected standards
