Job Requirements
- Candidate must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
- candidate must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
- role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion
- working environment may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
- candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Certified Food Handler
- basic knife skills
- ability to work independently
- knowledge of food safety standards
- good communication skills
- ability to follow recipes accurately
- prior experience in food preparation preferred
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Enjoys cooking and being part of a like-minded morning team
- can work independently and maintain a sense of urgency throughout the day
- is clean, organized, and efficient
- embodies integrity and seeks continuous improvement
- wants to learn and helps team members do the same
- is a Certified Food Handler
- maintain professional appearance according to employee handbook
- handles all food items by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipe specifications
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, kitchen and venue in accordance with Health Department
- labels and stores all products following FIFO and company standards
- checks production lists and assignments
- possesses in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes with the ability to produce them to company standard
- communicates product needs to chefs, sous chefs and support staff
- properly sets up prep station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management
- reports all breakage or damage of equipment immediately to management
- attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings
- portrays a positive and professional attitude
