Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of kitchen experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reasonable availability and willingness to be scheduled according to business demands
- Ability to work flexible days and hours, with more hours necessary during the school year
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn necessary skills
- Physical ability to unpack products and sort them including bend and lift to up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and move about the restaurant over the shift
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
Job Qualifications

- Preferred experience includes bakery experience, inventory and business ordering experience, and Serv-safe certification
Job Duties
- Understand and adhere to standard sanitation practices
- Maintain a clean work environment by keeping up on dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, etc.
- Prepare pastries to be frozen or baked
- Assemble sandwiches, burritos, and other small food items
- Prepare batches of syrups
- Assist in research and development for creative new and seasonal menu items
- Work alongside the GM and/or AGM to create par lists based on operational needs
- Take inventory and create weekly BOH order lists
- Order items and keep the prep kitchen stocked with necessary ingredients
- Identify needs for new or replacement equipment and report to the GM
- Deliver confections and syrups to the Verve location in accordance with supply needs
- Work efficiently yet safely
