Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of kitchen experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reasonable availability and willingness to be scheduled according to business demands
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours, with more hours necessary during the school year
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn necessary skills
  • Physical ability to unpack products and sort them including bend and lift to up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and move about the restaurant over the shift
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Understand and adhere to standard sanitation practices
  • Maintain a clean work environment by keeping up on dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, etc.
  • Prepare pastries to be frozen or baked
  • Assemble sandwiches, burritos, and other small food items
  • Prepare batches of syrups
  • Assist in research and development for creative new and seasonal menu items
  • Work alongside the GM and/or AGM to create par lists based on operational needs
  • Take inventory and create weekly BOH order lists
  • Order items and keep the prep kitchen stocked with necessary ingredients
  • Identify needs for new or replacement equipment and report to the GM
  • Deliver confections and syrups to the Verve location in accordance with supply needs
  • Work efficiently yet safely
