Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation preferred but not required
- valid Food Handler's Card or equivalent certification
- ability to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work flexible shifts including open, mid, and close
- commitment to maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler's Card or local government food safety certification where applicable
- ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow recipes and restaurant guidelines

Job Duties
- Ensure proper supply and quality of food products and dishware to cook's line
- complete daily prep and pars including cooking or baking items needed for day's use and preparing batters and sauces
- select, wash, clean and prepare all vegetables and fruits
- slice, dice and cut food
- prepare cheese and protein meat such as fish and chicken
- clean and organize storage locations of all products
- properly label, date, initial and rotate products
- set up station according to restaurant guidelines
- prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner as directed
- follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant
- restock all items as needed throughout shift
- clean and maintain station practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- have understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
- follow food safety and health code regulations
- always wear gloves and hair restraints when handling food
- maintain hygiene
- perform all other duties as assigned
