The Produce Preparer role at Whole Foods Market is an entry-level position vital to supporting the fresh produce department's operations and upholding the company’s high standards for product quality and customer satisfaction. This position involves performing all functions related to the processing, preparation, and merchandising of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Produce Preparer ensures that all produce meets Whole Foods Market’s guidelines concerning quality, preparation, and safety. Responsibilities include cutting, prepping, and displaying produce, maintaining a sampling program, keeping the department clean and organized, and providing exceptional customer service at all times. The role requires adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures and compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations. Team Members in this position are expected to work collaboratively, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a passion for natural foods and the Whole Foods Market mission. The Produce Preparer must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and be physically capable of performing tasks that involve lifting, standing for extended periods, and using various tools and equipment.

The position offers hourly wages ranging from $15.00 to $24.40, based on experience, and is eligible for Whole Benefits — a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the health and well-being of both full-time and part-time Team Members. After successfully completing the first 90 days of employment, Team Members may be eligible for a base rate increase.
