This role is for a Bakery Team Member at Whole Foods Market, focusing on baking, decorating, and preparing an array of breads, pastries, cakes, and pies. The position entails performing comprehensive bakery duties such as dough preparation, mixing, baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling products. A critical aspect of this role includes decorating and finishing cakes and pies to the company’s high standards while ensuring freshness and quality. Team Members support efficient bakery operations by stocking dry goods, developing new recipes, and continuously improving seasonal product cycles. Production planning and forecasting for special events and holidays are important responsibilities to maintain seamless service during peak periods. Utilization of the Datapax system is also required to maintain accurate production records.

The Bakery Team Member must uphold Whole Foods Market’s core values by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times while maintaining a positive company image. Working closely as part of the bakery and store teams, Team Members are expected to adhere to all health and safety regulations including Weights and Measures standards and sanitation protocols. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on feet for extended periods, and operate bakery equipment safely.
