Whole Foods Market is currently seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join their Produce Department as Produce Team Members. This role is integral to maintaining the quality and presentation of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring customers receive the best produce available. Working in this department means you will be involved in various essential functions such as preparation, merchandising, and customer service, all while upholding the company’s core values and standards for health, safety, and sustainability. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.50 to $25.40, commensurate with experience, and includes access to a comprehensive benefits program known as "Whole Benefits." The Produce Team Member role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the produce department’s cleanliness, quality, and merchandising standards. Team Members are expected to cut and prepare fruits and vegetables following strict safety and sanitation guidelines, manage sampling programs, and ensure merchandise meets company quality requirements. Providing excellent customer service is paramount, as you will address customer needs promptly and courteously, model suggestive selling techniques, and support store promotions and initiatives. The role requires punctuality, adherence to standard operating procedures, and a willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment. You will be expected to perform opening, mid, and closing duties, maintain signage and pricing accuracy, and report safety hazards immediately.

This position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing and walking for most of an 8-hour shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using various tools and equipment like knives, box cutters, and pallet jacks. Working conditions may vary and include exposure to different temperature environments—from freezing to warm—and require flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
