Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Standing and walking 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to use single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to temperatures below freezing and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks and other heavy equipment
- May require use of ladders

- No prior retail experience required
- Strong to excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team

- Ability to follow directions and procedures
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Understanding of and compliance with Whole Foods Market quality goals
Job Duties
- Assists with production for all prepared foods venues
- Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensures product production follows correct measuring devices and recipes
- Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- Keeps walk-ins and freezers clean and organized
- Arrives on time, properly groomed and dressed
- Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling
- Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, stocking, and merchandising
- Follows and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintains a clean and sanitary environment
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
