The Produce Department Team Member role at Whole Foods Market is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of product preparation and merchandising are met consistently. This position involves cutting, preparing, and maintaining fresh fruits and vegetables according to the companys safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines. Team Members in this role are responsible for maintaining the sampling program, continuously cleaning their work area, managing inventory through proper prepping, storing, rotating, and merchandising, and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires adherence to all regulatory health and safety standards including food safety protocols. It is a fast-paced job that demands strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a passion for natural foods, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The position is hourly, with a wage range of $16.00 to $25.40 depending on experience. Whole Foods Market also offers a comprehensive benefits package known as Whole Benefits, which supports health and wellness for full and part-time employees. This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays and the physical ability to handle the demands of a retail produce environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for most of the workday.
