This Prep Cook position is an exciting opportunity to join a premium hospitality team located at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), specifically within an exclusive private lounge. This is a contract role based onsite in San Francisco, CA, offering a competitive pay rate of $26.15 per hour. The environment is fast-paced and demands an individual who thrives under pressure while maintaining exceptional culinary standards. This position involves working closely with a chef-driven kitchen team to deliver high-quality food service to discerning travelers.

As a Prep Cook at SFO’s private lounge, you will be an essential part of the kitchen operation, responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting various cuisines, and ensuring the kitchen functions smoothly throughout service periods. Your role will include prepping for both à la carte and buffet service, monitoring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. This job provides a unique chance to gain exposure to different cooking styles and accelerated learning in a high-volume hospitality setting, which is perfect for early-career cooks looking to develop quickly.

The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 3 years of prior cooking or restaurant experience and a Food Handler’s Card (or be willing to obtain one). The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work efficiently in a busy kitchen, and contribute as both an independent worker and a supportive team player. Shifts are available during day and swing hours, offering some flexibility. The position not only allows you to refine your culinary skills in a dynamic environment but also provides excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more.

Joining this team means being part of a passionate group that values speed, consistency, and quality in every dish served. If you take pride in clean and organized work habits, enjoy multi-tasking across cuisines, and are committed to providing exceptional customer service when called upon, this role at SFO promises a fast-paced, rewarding culinary career pathway. Apply today to elevate your prep cook skills to new heights in one of the world’s busiest and most prestigious airport lounges.
