Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of culinary or restaurant experience in a high volume setting
- Valid Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Proven knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Two years of restaurant or culinary experience in a high volume, full service restaurant preferred
- Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with diverse personalities
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
- Consistently comply with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent the spoiling and contamination of foods while ensuring compliance with policy and health regulations
- Maintain a clean work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
- Assist in daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in and prep area
- Report any maintenance or repairs needed to the Executive Chef
- Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
