As our Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high standards of food quality and cleanliness that our customers expect. This position involves working closely with organic ingredients and executing food preparation tasks with precision and care. You will be an integral part of a creative culinary team that takes pride in crafting fresh, high-quality menu items such as salads, soups, sandwiches, and wraps. This role demands both creativity and meticulous attention to detail to maintain consistency and uphold food safety and sanitation standards.

The role of Prep Cook requires an individual who is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn. You will contribute to the food preparation process, including chopping, slicing, and dicing fresh produce, managing ingredient deliveries, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. Collaboration and communication with the Culinary Team is essential to guarantee smooth service and an enjoyable customer experience. Employment at Rosewood Market is hourly with pay starting at $15.00 per hour, with potential wage increases based on exceeding performance requirements. Job Requirements

  • Must wear closed-toe, slip resistant shoes
  • comfortable with repetitive motions
  • high energy level, self motivated, and natural troubleshooter
  • passion for food and using the best ingredients
  • adheres to all SC Department of Agriculture requirements including cooling, time control of temperature, and proper food storage
  • ability to communicate via Homebase and email
  • active member of the Rosewood Market Team adhering to high standards of service, quality, and presentation
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • A true passion for food and people
  • ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team
  • highly motivated and hard working with an enthusiastic attitude
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • problem-solving skills with flexibility and creativity
  • current Food Handler Certification preferred but not required
  • reliable transportation and punctuality
