We are currently seeking motivated and reliable team members for BOH positions, aimed at supporting our kitchen operations to provide a superior dining experience to our guests. This role offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities. As a BOH team member, you will report for your scheduled shifts dressed in the appropriate uniform, adhering to strict personal hygiene and cleanliness habits throughout your workday. Your responsibilities will begin with receiving your station assignment at the start of each shift and will continue through performing all opening and closing duties promptly under the direction of the Manager on Duty.

The core of your role involves assisting kitchen personnel with food preparation and sidework tasks, ensuring all products are prepared strictly according to the standards outlined on Ruth's Chris Steak House recipe cards. As part of your duties, you will prep and cook all food items to meet company specifications for quality, presentation, and timing, thus guaranteeing each guest enjoys a superior dining experience. You will also be responsible for checking inventory levels of potatoes, vegetables, hot appetizer ingredients, condiments, garnishes, equipment, and plateware before starting the shift to confirm sufficient stock levels for business demands and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.

Beyond food preparation, your role requires close collaboration with the broiler cook to ensure all food is timed perfectly for service. Throughout your shift, restocking food items, condiments, smallwares, and supplies will also be part of your job to maintain consistent stock availability. Upholding stringent safety and sanitation practices is a vital aspect of your duties, including the immediate reporting of any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries to the Chef or Manager on Duty. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist other kitchen personnel in food preparation and sidework as assigned by the chef
  • prep all food product according to standards and procedures on Ruth's Chris Steak House recipe cards
  • prep and cook all food to company specifications, recipes, procedures, and quality standards
  • check par and stock levels of potatoes, vegetables, hot appetizer ingredients, condiments, garnishes, equipment, plateware, and smallwares prior to shift start and communicate discrepancies
  • correctly season, cook, and plate all side station food products to Ruth's Chris standards
  • communicate and coordinate with the broiler cook for timely food preparation
  • restock all food items, condiments, plateware, smallwares, equipment, and supplies throughout the shift
  • adhere to all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries
