Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- good communication skills
- teamwork-oriented mindset
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Job Duties
- assist other kitchen personnel in food preparation and sidework as assigned by the chef
- prep all food product according to standards and procedures on Ruth's Chris Steak House recipe cards
- prep and cook all food to company specifications, recipes, procedures, and quality standards
- check par and stock levels of potatoes, vegetables, hot appetizer ingredients, condiments, garnishes, equipment, plateware, and smallwares prior to shift start and communicate discrepancies
- correctly season, cook, and plate all side station food products to Ruth's Chris standards
- communicate and coordinate with the broiler cook for timely food preparation
- restock all food items, condiments, plateware, smallwares, equipment, and supplies throughout the shift
- adhere to all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries
