Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining required operation standards
- Must produce items exactly according to recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs
- Must follow food handling and sanitation procedures
- Must be able to read guest orders
- Must be able to hear kitchen, window person or Manager requests amidst loud background noise
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Must arrive on time and dressed in proper uniform
- Must follow safety and sanitation procedures without shortcuts
- Must attend required shift meetings prepared to contribute
Job Qualifications
- Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining operational standards
- Ability to produce items exactly according to recipe
- Ability to read guest orders
- Ability to hear kitchen, window person or Manager requests in loud environments
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic culinary education or training is an advantage
Job Duties
- Completing all tasks on the prep list from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves
- Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats
- Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
- Parboiling food, reducing sauces and starting first steps in dishes
- Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out trash and sanitizing kitchen
- Adhering to nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
- Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with kitchen and management staff to order resupply
- Ensuring all prepared food meets TGI Friday's standards, recipe requirements, product sensitivity and presentation guidelines
- Communicating ticket times and potential problems with service staff, kitchen staff and Managers
- Setting up and breaking down prep stations
- Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment properly
- Proper rotation and labeling of all products
