The Prep Cook position at the Waco Convention Center represents a crucial role within ASM Global’s food and beverage operations. The Prep Cook assists the Executive Chef and kitchen staff by preparing food items according to established standard recipes, ensuring consistency and adherence to ASM Global’s stringent quality standards. In this position, the Prep Cook will handle various workstations such as fry/saute, broiler/roast, breakfast, and stock/soups/sauces. They are expected to follow the ASM Global Food and Beverage Standard recipe book precisely, maintain standard food production procedures, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. The role demands attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork skills to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and guests receive food that meets the company’s high service standards.

Job Duties
- Assist the executive chef and cooks in following and maintaining standard recipes as listed in the ASM Global Food and Beverage Standard recipe book
- Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment
- Assist in preparation of menu items as directed on production sheet
- Maintain quality food production standards
- Prepare hot food items for any or all of the work stations including fry/saute station, broiler/roast station, breakfast station, stock, soups, sauces station, and others as assigned
- Follow all rules and regulations set by ASM Global
- Safely operate all equipment
- Maintain safety, sanitation, and health code standards
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Perform other duties as assigned by the executive and/or sous chef(s)
