In your role as an onboard culinary team member, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality dining experiences. You will collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure every dish served meets the exacting standards of Norwegian Cruise Lines. This includes adhering strictly to established recipes, maintaining seamless kitchen production flow, and implementing rigorous safety and sanitation protocols. Your adaptability will be essential as you respond to daily menu changes and assist with inventory management tasks. Job Requirements

  • Culinary school degree or equivalent training in the art of the culinary craft
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a high volume kitchen on a cruise ship hotel or fast paced restaurant environment
  • Strong command of the English language both verbal and written
  • Ability to upscale recipes from serving 8 to catering for 64 128 or 256 guests
  • Perfection in presentation and taste
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques including roasting broiling sautéing frying grilling pastry baking sauce creation and cold food preparation
  • Flexibility to address additional culinary needs during the voyage
